Monier first designed in early 2016, in addition for custom typeface for some brand identity, after a year remaking and developing the families, Makro finally released their debut on 2017 for intended commercially. Monier designed specifily for display type on print and screen and tweaking the widths with more narrowed, and aslo works well on small size text for print and screen. The main concept of the characters was taking inspired with Frere Jones's Interstate which had the descending strokes are cut at an angle of the stroke on t character, and to avoid the dark spot and improving the legibility, the counter remains open of every character and even in the bolder weights.
The family available in eight styles including italic uprights, equipped with large language support and some alternates of some characters, lighter and monospaced version are still in developments.
